Registration Open for First Annual Golfer's Guide Amateur Team Championship

The Dunes Golf ClubThe First Annual Golfer’s Guide Amateur Team Championship is scheduled for Sunday May 16 and Monday May 17. This 36-hole event will be played over two of Tampa Bay’s finest golf courses: the Quarry Course at Black Diamond Ranch and The Dunes Golf Club. The event starts with a buffet lunch prior to a 1:30 p.m. shotgun start at Black Diamond Ranch in Lecanto. Day 1 format is Better Ball of the pair.

After the first round enjoy an outdoor cocktail party and accommodations at the beautiful Plantation Golf Resort & Spa in Crystal River. Following a box lunch, Day 2 features a 1 p.m. shotgun start at The Dunes Golf Club in Brooksville. Format for the second day of competition is a two-man scramble.

Entry fee of $225 per player includes two rounds of golf with cart, one night accommodations, range balls, goodie bag, cocktail party and lunch both days. The field will be limited to maximum of 50 teams.

Three flights are available:  1st Flight - 0 to 16 combined handicap index; 2nd Flight - 17 to 30 combined handicap index; and 3rd flight - 31+ combined handicap index. A Visa Gift Card payoff is included for the top three finishers in each flight. Optional team skins games will be available.

Golfer's Guide National Team ClassicThis event also serves as a qualifier for the first annual Golfer’s Guide National Team Classic scheduled for Feb. 20-23, 2011 in Las Vegas. The Team that wins the Closest-to-the-Pin contest on No. 17 at The Dunes will have their $1,995 entry fee waived! 

The Las Vegas package includes four nights at the Rio Hotel & Casino, $50 of casino chips per person, and three days of tournament golf (at Siena Golf Club, Arroyo Golf Club & Rio Secco). Any participating team can sign up for the National Team Classic and have $225 waived from their team entry fee.
